Velyn Wu, M.D.
Velyn Wu, MD attended the University of South Florida as an undergraduate majoring in chemistry. During this time, Dr. Wu worked as a primary researcher at the Museum of Science and Industry where she created curriculum and taught home
schooled middle school students chemistry. Dr. Wu then went on to receive her MD degree from the University of South Florida. She was a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the Florida
Academy of Family Physicians. Dr. Wu also volunteered time in several medical clinics and served as Student Director of the Family Medicine Interest Group. Dr. Wu has a strong musical background and was
president of the University's Health Orchestra for four years. Born in Orange Park, Florida, Dr. Wu's interests outside medicine include jogging, trumpet, sports-especially soccer, Bible study and cooking.
