Dr. Dorvil attended the University of New York at Stony Brook as an undergraduate majoring in Biology. While at the University of New York at Stony Brook Deborah was on the Dean's List all four
years. She received several scholarships including the Alliance for Minority Participation Scholarship, the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Award and the Suffern Women's Club Scholarship. Deborah then
entered Morehouse School of Medicine where she earned her M.D. degree. While at Morehouse School of Medicine Deborah continued to receive honors including the Zima Brown Grant in 2000 and the Dr. Judah Folkman
Scholarship in 2003. She did volunteer work in both her undergraduate years and her medical school years working as a senior volunteer at the pediatrics Department, at USBHospital, at HOPE Worldwide and at
Meals on Wheels. Her outside interests include spending time with her daughter, playing the piano, swimming, watching movies and reading
