Several half-days per month are dedicated to podiatry directly supervised by a faculty podiatrist.

ELECTIVES Over four months of elective training are provided. A number of established electives are available; including experiences in advanced obstetrics, neurology, plastic surgery, pulmonology, gastroenterology and sports medicine. International medicine experiences are popular electives and in recent years have included clinics and missions in Ecuador, Haiti, Kenya and Guatemala. Elective choices are not limited to the established electives cited above. Residents have flexibility in structuring their elective experiences to meet their own special needs and interests.
