Laura Balda, MD
Dr. Balda attended the University of Central Florida as an undergraduate majoring in mathematics education. While at the University of Central Florida, Laura was on the President's and Dean's List. She
received honors as a Challenger Astronaut Scholar and Florida Undergraduate Scholar. After two years as a stay at home mother, Laura then entered the University of Florida's College of Medicine where she
earned her MD degree. While at the University of Florida, Laura actively participated in organized medicine as a member of the American Medical Student Association, Family medicine Interest Group and
International Medicine Interest Group. Upon graduation from medical school, Dr. Balda became an at home mother again, enjoying her three children while volunteering at the Health Care Center for the Homeless
in Orlando providing medical care and as a member of the Junior League of South Brevard. A Florida native, Laura's outside interests include spending time with her family, water sports, distance running and
travel.
